High-gloss contrast
Matched to the product, structure, artwork and production quantity rather than selected in isolation.
Spot UV applies a clear high-gloss coating to selected artwork areas, creating visual and tactile contrast against matte printed packaging.
The effect is especially noticeable on dark colours and matte lamination. It can highlight logos, patterns, photography details or typographic elements without changing the whole surface.
Good registration and suitable minimum line sizes are important. Spot UV artwork is normally supplied as a separate solid vector layer aligned to the print file.
